Paperback. Etat : Very Good. Valegro is nothing short of a worldwide phenomenon: a horse who has taken the sporting world by storm. In an unprecedented career, he has gone from rejection to concurrent Olympic, World and European Gold and a World No 1 ranking - leaving a trail of broken World records in his wake. From gangly youngster to 'the best the world has ever seen', this is the heart-warming story of the horse that revolutionized a centuries-old sport and won the hearts of equestrian and sports fans everywhere. Voted the Nation's favourite horse, he has achieved international fame and admiration and has a character and intelligence that the public clearly adores. This modern-day Black Beauty story is told by his owner and trainer, Carl Hester, who had the vision to bring together the potential of a young rider - Charlotte Dujardin - with a horse whose outstanding ability has proved that dreams can still come true. With honesty, humour and contributions from leading lights across the equestrian world, this book is an inspiring and indispensable must-have for equestriennes, sports fans and anybody interested in achieving success against the odds. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Paperback. Etat : Very Good. Dressage doesn't have to be complicated! In Real Life Dressage Carl Hester shares his training methods and shows how they can be adapted to suit individual horses. Assisted by co-writer Polly Ellison, he outlines his training regimes and favourite exercises, following some of his own horses up the levels to Grand Prix. As the training progresses Carl examines the problems that are commonly encountered, and explains how he and other riders might overcome them. As Carl says, 'I have deliberately chosen horses with differing conformations and mental attitudes in order to illustrate the factors that need to be taken into account when training a horse to these levels.' Carl's training philosophy is very much on the lines of the German training system, the 'Richtlinien' or broad path, that German trainers use so successfully. 'With each of my horses, no matter what type or temperament, the fundamental ground rules from the "scales of training" apply. In working up the levels to Grand Prix you will see that I regularly refer back to various aspects of the training scale, as I believe these ground rules should be applied constantly if you want to get the best out of your horse.'. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Paperback. Etat : Very Good. Valegro Goes International continues the story of the most famous and successful dressage horse in the world. In this, the fourth book in the series, his true-life story continues as the reader is taken on the amazing journey of a top-class dressage horse. Blueberry and his rider, Charlotte, continue to progress their career under the tutorage of top rider and trainer, Carl Hester. Chosen to represent his country, the little brown horse is gaining attention from not only top dressage judges and officials, but is amassing a fan base, too. But there are always hiccups in a successful career and Blueberry with the help of his ever-present friend, little one-eyed dog Lulu is determined to overcome them on his way to the very top, and be chosen for the most important international competition in the world. Valegro Goes International, is the fourth book in The Blueberry series, specially written for all young readers who have been captivated by the most successful dressage horse of all time. Written from the viewpoint of Blueberry, each book contains fascinating insights into the training and everyday life at one of the world's top dressage yards, with Blueberry's friends making their own, vital, contribution to help the little brown horse on his amazing journey. Author Carl Hester FBHS MBE, a veteran of five Olympic Games, has changed how dressage horses are trained, and readers are treated to behind-the-scenes insights and Carl's unique spin on all things dressage. Valegro Goes International continues Blueberry's story in his own words and not only tells of his life before he became famous, but gives an insight into one of the world's top dressage yards, together with all its inhabitants. Follow Blueberry's amazing journey as he works hard to follow his dream of becoming the best dressage horse the world has ever known. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition.
