First Edition, First Printing. Oblong octavo, xii, 202pp. Blue and red cloth, title in silver on spine. Stated "First printing, 1972" on copyright page. Solid text block, lightly worn corners, a near fine example. In the publisher's dust jacket, $4.95 retail price on front flap, soiling to covers, wear to corners, split to rear panel with tape remnants to verso, a good example. Signed on the front free endpaper "with appreciation for his efforts on our behalf - and with best wishes from Tom Eagleton U.S. Senator 1972." Thomas Francis Eagleton (1929-2007) served as U.S. Senator from Missouri from 1968 to 1987. Eagleton was briefly the vice-presidential nominee under Democratic leader George McGovern in 1972; the same year as this book's publication.
